FSC Interactive Recognized for Social Media Excellence with Multiple PRS Awards

<p><span style="font-family: arial;">New Orleans, LA - November 13, 2009 - FSC Interactive (www.fscinteractice.com), a New Orleans based interactive marketing firm, was honored on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 by the New Orleans Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for its success with Social Media Campaigns. Strategy and execution of social media campaigns created by FSC Interactive for the Rib Room Bar and New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation were honored with Awards of Merit. This is the first year that PRSA included a Social Media Category within its annual awards process, recognizing excellence in public relations programs, campaigns and tactics. FSC Interactive was the only agency to win multiple awards in this category.</span></p> <p><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">The Rib Room, a historic French Quarter landmark, was eager to reach young professionals and contracted FSC Interactive to provide strategy to engage this community. "We developed a crowd-sourced "Name the Bar" contest promoted through Facebook, Twitter and blog outreach; assisted in web design and implemented an easily updated content management system that allows for easier incorporation of social media sharing tools and content" commented Tiffany Starnes, FSC's Director of Social Media. Temporary landing pages were also developed to solicit name submissions then converted to show real time voting results on the Top Ten chosen submissions. The campaign resulted in a significant increase in site traffic, built a database of e-mail addresses and created a dialogue across various social media networks.</span></p> <p><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">The New Orleans Marketing and Tourism Corporation (NOTMC) called upon FSC Interactive to devise strategy and execute social media efforts as a compliment to other online marketing efforts, also managed by FSC, to attract and engage potential visitors to New Orleans. Through ongoing research and monitoring online conversations, FSC Interactive provides strategic direction on various social media outlets to increase exposure of events, promotions and New Orleans as a complete destination to travelers. FSC Welcomes Andy Kutcher to the Team!

<p><span style="font-family: arial font-size:12px;">Andy is an eager newcomer to the FSC family and a recent graduate from Millsaps College. Andy comes to FSC with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a minor in English with a well-rounded marketing background.</span><span style="font-family: arial;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial;">During her time in college, Andy served as a marketing intern for Beth Israel Synagogue in Jackson, Mississippi where she helped to develop their website. Andy continued her interest in online marketing working in the Millsaps College Communications Office while still a student by building and maintaining the college&rsquo;s Facebook page. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial;">Andy graduated on the Millsaps dean&rsquo;s list and has been doing social media work in New Orleans since graduating in May 2009.&nbsp; Before joining FSC as a full time employee, Andy worked with the New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation, as well as FSC, as a Summer intern.&nbsp; Andy will be working in online community development on the social media team led by Tiffany Starnes.</span></p>
